Grants for The Arts
 
Our current Arts funding is undergoing a review and we will not be awarding grants until September 2008.


In the meantime, however, we will still accept and review applications which meet the criteria set out below.


Our current Arts programme focuses on projects and organizations which:

Are partnership-based with young people as the protagonists of the creative process;
 
Have an emphasis on community cohesion and under-represented groups;
   
Support confidence-building, collaboration and the incubation of ideas amongst young people; and
   
Are innovative, wide-reaching and based on tangible outcomes.
   
 
We are unlikely to support the following arts projects:
   
Individual artists furthering their personal careers;
 
Those whose audience / target beneficiaries and tangible outcomes are not clearly defined;
   
Those without a wider relevance to stakeholders such as schools / educationalists, community groups, creative practitioners, policymakers and the media; or
   
Solely web / new media based.
