2011 OVNV 24 Hour Plays Sponsored by IdeasTap

In October 2011, thirty-one actors, seven directors, seven producers and seven writers staged the Old Vic New Voices (OVNV) 24 Hour Plays, sponsored by IdeasTap.

2010 IdeasTap Photographic Award – Pierfrancesco Celada

Young photographer Pierfrancesco Celada won the inaugural round of  our Photographic Award in 2010, picking up a total of  £7,500 and an internship at Magnum Photos, New York, for his collection ‘I wish I knew your name’. A year on, his Magnum in Motion essay is being featured on the TIME magazine website.

He said “I’ve improved quite a lot since working on this full time  It’s because I’m shooting more, I have more time to make mistakes and to work on them and prepare better. You have your eyes on the subject every day, so you see more, you think about it more. I actually studied engineering originally I don’t come from a traditional photography background. I always did photography in parallel to the engineering work, so winning this prize means that I can now spend at least a year on my photography. It has really helped to put me on the right path. In fact, I don’t think I’ll be going back to engineering.”
