Creative Space is an initiative run by IdeasTap offering a space for emerging artists to work, network, share ideas, build up clients and energise their business in return for a creative contribution towards their network.
The scheme offers creative businesses and individuals six months of facilities at IdeasTap headquarters. Participants currently taking part in the Creative Space scheme include illustrators, graphic designers, journalists, writers, filmmakers, editors and theatre producers.
Creative Space was first piloted in 2011, before being fully rolled out at IdeasTap’s South London headquarters in 2012. Space for rehearsals and other creative projects has also recently been offered at mac Birmingham, one of IdeasTap’s partner organisations.
The purpose of Creative Space is to support emerging creative businesses and freelancers, whilst also encouraging them to support their peers.
